Paavani Atrey
Paavani Atrey is an Indian actress known for her work in film, television, and commercials. Born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and raised in Mumbai, she trained at the New York Film Academy, where she performed in theater and short films such as Street Sam, Sing Along Trees, and Beyond Therapy. Upon returning to India, she further honed her craft at Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares.
Paavani made her Bollywood debut in Gauri Shinde's Dear Zindagi (2016) alongside Alia Bhatt. She later lent her voice to The Hungry, a contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus. In Netflix's The Fame Game (2022), she played Ruchika, a role that garnered appreciation for its authenticity and depth. Her breakout performance came in Bejoy Nambiar's Dange (2024), where she received praise for her compelling screen presence.
Beyond films, Paavani has worked extensively in advertising, featuring in campaigns for NorthEast United F.C. (with John Abraham), Manyavar Mohey (with Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli), Frooti, Hotstar, Clean & Clear, and Hella India, Kings Oil (with Bhumi Pednekar). She has also contributed to casting for Bollywood and international projects, collaborating with Nandini Shrikent on films like Gold (2018), Tumhari Sulu (2017), The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir (2018), and the French series Fais Pas Ci, Fais Pas Ça.
Outside of acting, Paavani is passionate about fitness, yoga, and animal welfare. She is a dedicated pet lover, caring for ten cats and two dogs. With her talent and versatility, she continues to make a mark in the Indian film industry.
