Despite graduating from Eastern Washington University with a degree in Screenwriting, Sage moved into sound after watching the car crash in Killing Them Softly. He cut his teeth as a boom op on a few projects in Seattle before beginning his Mixing career in San Francisco, eventually moving down to Los Angeles to go full in on narrative filmmaking.
