Uche is a Nigerian-born filmmaker, with a formal training in Medicine. After Medical school at Howard, he moved to London to study at the Identity School of Drama. His earliest memories of cinema all stem from the iconic and brazen movies of Nigeria's golden Nollywood era in the 90's. The flamboyant characters, jazzy costumes, and the stories; over-the-top, yet endearing and always with a familiar moral adage at the end. Uche feels a great pride in telling stories about the vast and rich experiences of the African diaspora, stories about African mythology, igbo cosmology and the magical tales of the African 'dark' juju as well as contemporary tales about the every-day ordinary person.
