Yumna Marwan is an actress and director born in Beirut. She studied anthropology and creative writing and worked in many different sectors before starting her film career. Since 2014, she's starred in a wide variety of Arab shorts and features that have premiered in international festivals such as Locarno, Berlin, Cannes, Toronto, and Venice. She crossed over from the Middle Eastern industry to English-speaking projects in 2020 with her role in the limited series "Little Birds" produced by Sky. In 2023 she starred alongside Elisabeth Moss in the upcoming limited series "The Veil" produced by FX. Yumna loves the sea and her family very much.
